Linda J. Aguilera, Attorney & Founder
Of Counsel, The Law Office of Will M. Helixon
(she/her)
I founded Emme Global, PLLC on a simple premise: the law must serve and empower people. That conviction began in early childhood when I saw firsthand how the law could upend my family’s life, and in turn, mine. This experience continues to shape how I practice law today, resulting in a style that is equal parts knowledgeable, instinctive, professional, and formidable.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I am the eldest daughter of Mexican and Honduran immigrants, a native Spanish speaker, and a proud Army veteran. I earned my law degree, with magna cum laude honors, from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2015 and recently completed my Master of Laws at The George Washington University Law School, where my courses largely focused on international human rights law and its frameworks.
For the past decade, I have practiced in courtrooms and legal offices across Texas and around the world. I began my career as a prosecutor, trying misdemeanor and felony cases in several counties across Texas. In 2021, I commissioned as an Active Duty Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army, marking the beginning of a professionally dynamic tenure. From 2021 through 2026, I led legal offices in both Germany and Honduras, helping hundreds of service members navigate a wide-range of legal issues including landlord-tenant issues, immigration matters, defense of adverse administrative actions, etc., resulting in unprecedented favorable outcomes for soldiers. I litigated felony-level sexual assault cases; served as a magistrate, reviewing search warrants and assessing the continuation of pre-trial confinement; oversaw and guided major internal investigations; and advised senior military leaders on Department of State missions, ethics, and real-world legal and operational issues across the Central American and European region.
In 2024, I was recognized as the highest performing legal officer among 25 of my peers, and in 2025, I was ranked second among 22 Army Captains for outstanding performance and leadership.
After a decade of prosecuting, advising, and leading, I spearheaded this law firm, because for me, using the law to protect and positively impact the lives of everyday people has been the driving force of every professional decision. Today, I bring that experience to those who need it most. I am licensed in the State of Texas. I am not licensed in the District of Columbia.

(… queue Biggie Smalls 1994 hit record “Juicy” …. “It was all a dream…”)
I was born in Germany to a military family, but Houston, Texas, is home. I consider myself a citizen of the world having lived on two different continents, including 5 different states in the U.S., and worked in 7 different countries, to date. After passing the bar exam and graduating Valedictorian from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, I started my legal career as an Active-Duty Judge Advocate for the U.S. Army.
Over the past 11 years, I have advised, counseled, and litigated in courtrooms and boardrooms across the globe. (I once had to build my own courtroom in Belgium. Ask me about that over an old-fashioned sometime). I’ve prosecuted high-profile homicide and fraud cases and advised senior military leaders on the rules of engagement in complex operational environments. I’ve worked with foreign governments and law enforcement agencies to acquire evidence and secure witness testimony, and I’ve also drafted demand letters to landlords, car dealerships, and credit agencies that try to capitalize on the lack of knowledge that often plagues vulnerable and marginalized communities. I’ve trained law enforcement on the authorized use of force and the appropriate steps in the escalation of that force. I’ve rejected search warrants and other authorization requests when the appropriate legal standards were not met, and I’ve dismissed cases outright when there was evidence of discriminatory targeting or unlawful pretextual encounters.
In August 2026, I graduated with my Master of Laws from the University of Nebraska. My courses focused on satellites and space law, privacy and cyber law, and other matters concerning technology and civil rights. With this as the backdrop, I bring the past decade-plus of experience to confront the civil rights issues of our time from the courtroom to the boardroom, in outer space and cyberspace.
I am licensed to practice in Texas, D.C., and Virginia and am CIPP-US certified. My legal practice sits at the critical intersection between emerging technology, digital equity, and fundamental civil rights. As technological systems become increasingly embedded in tasks associated with everyday life, commerce, and governance, I represent individuals, small businesses, organizations, and communities navigating the legal frontiers of the digital age.
